Afspraken
Op de laatste bijeenkomst van het bestuur is nog geen definitieve startdatum voor de uitzendingen en de nieuwe website afgesproken, er zijn nog een aantal stappen die eerst ondernomen moeten worden. De programmamakers van Monique willen wel, zoals enkele van die DJ types het noemen "radio gaan maken" of in normaal Nederlands, ze staan te springen ...om van start te kunnen gaan.
International
Welcome to the experimental website from Radio Monique 963. For our International friends a short explanation about our broadcasts and what Monique is all about. To begin with, in December 1984 we started as a radio station broadcasting from International waters from the radio ship Ross Revenge. During daytime we leased air time with the world renowned Radio Caroline. Her elegant ship was moored in the Thames estuary in an aria known as the Knock Deep, quite a protective little patch on the North Sea. 
In the mid eighties broadcasters in Europe reverted to meters instead of Kilohertz. So we begun by welcoming our Benelux (the Low Countries) audience to 319 meters Medium wave. It was actually 312 meters but 319 sounded better to rime with Caroline. Our station started with a family type format, but throughout the years it changed to a more youthful sound. Another mayor change was the mention of our frequency 963 KHz. instead of referring to the �old fashioned � way of meters.
With 50.000 watts we had quite a good coverage all over Europe and Radio Monique International became one of the most popular foreign stations in other countries as well. Reception reports came in from places as far as Turku in Finland and Santander in Spain. After broadcasting for some time the British Government changed her territorial waters and the ship was forced to move to a ruff stretch of North Sea where she begun battling the much stronger winds and higher waves. The ship boasted the tallest mast ever build on a floating structure. With its 90 meter (300 ft.) tower it was an impressing sight. The new position in the middle of the North Sea also meant that the strain on her tall construction was to lose her battle with the elements. With the downfall of our big broadcasting tower it was to be the end of Radio Monique International. The owners of both stations tried to get a new mast erected to do its job, but after several attempts they had to settle for a less powerful transmitter output. To top it off, the governments of both the Netherlands and Britain send in the navy to seize all transmitters and studio equipment.
Monique returned to the air for a short time as a regional station in the province of North Holland in the Netherlands but funds dried up and that was the end of that ill fated experiment.
Just five years ago some of the former staff from the station wanted to start an internet version on a shoestring budget. After initial plans were announced a lot of former DJ�s wanted to participate in this new chapter, but circumstances were not right at the time and after one year on the air the advertisers stopped paying their bills and it was to be the end of Radio Monique on the Internet.
On December 16th 2009, 25 years after the first sounds of Radio Monique were ever broadcast she starts again as an official licensed broadcaster in the Netherlands. Its output beamed to mayor market audiences throughout the country on cable FM. This time the internet broadcasts are a nice way of connecting everybody worldwide, but this time it�s only as a bonus to the FM output. The economic results where not what was expected and after two years of broadcasting on FM Monique once again had to stop the programs.

DNT IPdio Tune Internetradio -/FM -radio
Voor muziekliefhebbers die bij een goede internetradio geen concessies willen doen aan een fraaie vormgeving en digitale audiokwaliteit. De IPdio Tune als 43 cm HiFi-component kan via de digitale uitgangen eenvoudig op een versterker of de HiFi-installatie worden aangesloten. Maar u kunt ook luidsprekers rechtstreeks aansluiten en meteen gaan luisteren. De IPdio Tune gewoon inloggen en de poort naar de hele wereld, van "Radio Brasil" tot "Suisse Klassik" staat open. De IPdio internetradio's van DNT werken uitsluitend samen met het professionele internetradioportal "RECIVA" uit Engeland, want alleen een echt betrouwbare server-aanbieder biedt de gebruiker de zekerheid dat hij ook morgen nog toegang heeft tot zijn internetradiozenders .
Eigen muziekbestanden kunnen rechtstreeks van de PC via WLAN of LAN (vanuit het netwerk) worden overgebracht naar de IPdio Tune, waarbij een groot aantal audiotypen wordt ondersteund: AAC, AIFF, AU, M4A, MP3, OGG, Real Audio en WMA. Om naar Internet radio te luisteren heb je dus nu geen computer meer nodig!

De proefuitzendingen van Radio Monique 963 zijn eind maart/begin april succesvol afgesloten. De mogelijke AM/FM Frequenties geven wij op de laatste dag van de komende maand door, we houden je dus op de hoogte! Natuurlijk kun je ons binnenkort ook via het internet beluisteren! Er zal op meerdere streams (192 Kbts Mp3 & 64 en 24 Kbts AAC+) worden uitgezonden, waarvan twee dus in studio kwaliteit. Inmiddels is Monique ook van eigenaar veranderd. Deze nieuwe impuls brengt Radio Monique dichter bij haar doel.
